    Your response makes some valid points such as those characters who kidnapped Amanda and those who returned her to her mother have good reasons for doing what they did, and Patrick seems to be willing to take on a part of the responsibility of raising Amanda once he returns her to Helene, her mother. But I had a hard time reading your response due to run-on sentences and some confusion about Helene's mother? Helene's mother is dead. If you are thinking of Bea, she is Helene's brother's, Lionel's, wife; she is Amanda's aunt.
